I'm assuming it's a problem with my video because every uploading place I've gone to its stopped uploading in the same place...but I rewatched the vid and looked around 26% through and nothing seems to be wrong...

Any1 got an idea?

makin teh clientmode 2.0
its a client mod.  known as clientmode bcos ppl call it that cos they cant talk rite.

prty lite on feature additions this time.  thot i had it pretty close with v1.  added the thing where your force selection is auto set to speed cos ppl like goin fast for some reason.

also feature which is basically best in ever is u finally get automatic map downloads ingame.  its not hrd to do, basically what u do is join game with map u dont have.  map is then looked up in online database and downloaded for your lazy ass rite in front of u.  u then proceed to join game n capt.

only part of the system which needs maintaining is the map db.  rite now i'm hosting it at http://www-student.cse.buffalo.edu/~dpa … a/maps.php which allows any1 to add their own map to the db by just pasting a url to where its at.  note PLS that your map WILL NOT be stored on my serveur.  it will still have to be hosted by you or someone else, while the map db site does obscure your url so don't worry about sensitive URLs (liek IMHOMO.COM or smth v:Sv).  then when ppl want 2 download map ingame, my serveur streams the data from ur serveur 2 the player with network hax.  ur url will however be automatically verified n all mapnames included in ur pk3 will be auto pulled out n added to the db.

this is both to help backup shit here if it rly does go down.  and so we dont have to keep playing ctf4 kejim and fkn nelvaan all the time.  now theres no excuse to not having map.  wut could u say now, "o noes i forgot to plug in the interwebs."  ya rite.

if someone else has more permanent webhosting (mine will only last another year) and enough bandwidth (not anticipating much will be needed) who can host this db, (it's really small, you only need 22mb tops) plz 2 apply 4 position of MASTER MAP KEEPER here.

I was originally going to edit them and use ideas for new maps, but i got carried away and finished yavin lol, the others are converted and just need touching up and fixed textures, for some reason on yavin there is a load of random bridges an podeums outside the actual map that are of no use...... lazy map makers? lol

(from the look of the screenshot i possibly need to edit the lighting a bit too, looked fine in game but i probably had r_gamma quite high)
